Reporting restrictions have been lifted, allowing the identification of men who allegedly conspired with a husband to drug and sexually abuse his wife. The husband, a resident of Stockport in his 60s, cannot be named to protect his spouse’s identity. Although he initially pleaded not guilty to all 48 charges, he has recently admitted to several offenses, including rape, assault by penetration, and the non-consensual sharing of intimate media. He continues to contest other charges, including conspiracy to commit rape and the administration of substances to facilitate sexual acts between 2018 and 2025.
Alongside the husband, 13 other men face allegations of sexual abuse or supplying substances to incapacitate the victim. Keith Fotheringham, 59, of Dundee, has entered guilty pleas for conspiracy to rape and conspiracy to administer a substance with intent. Other defendants scheduled for a 12-week trial at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court in September include Jordan Wallace, Jonathan Kirk, Robert Stewart, Mohammed Sabir, Graham Brougham, Richard Townsend, Karl Lindsay, Daniel Rayner, and David Graves. A preliminary hearing is set for August 24.
