Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has promised to bolster resources for security forces and prioritize the welfare of soldiers working to combat instability within the region. The governor made these remarks on Thursday during the routine State Security Council assembly held at the Government House in Gusau.
Sulaiman Bala Idris, the governor’s spokesperson, noted that the session involved primary security commanders and aimed to refine tactics for increasing security presence in unstable districts. During the gathering, Governor Lawal confirmed his administration’s dedication to equipping personnel for better operational efficiency.
Key discussions centered on improving troop positioning and ensuring faster reaction times to crises across Zamfara. Governor Lawal reiterated that protecting the lives of residents is the core objective of his leadership. He further promised security leaders that his office will maintain an open door for cooperation and logistical aid to overcome existing threats.
