President Bola Tinubu has promised that no region will be neglected under his administration, emphasizing that his government is actively building a framework for national prosperity. Speaking through Vice President Kashim Shettima at the launch of the seven-kilometre Kuje-Gwagwalada dual carriageway in Abuja, the President asserted that his Renewed Hope Agenda ensures that all area councils are prioritized, rather than just the city center.
The newly completed road, which includes drainage systems, pedestrian paths, and solar lighting, replaces a route previously notorious for security hazards and traffic congestion. President Tinubu highlighted that this infrastructure project facilitates trade, enhances safety for commuters, and provides better access for farmers to transport their goods. He praised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his inclusive approach to urban planning, noting that development is now reaching grassroots communities beyond elite neighborhoods like Maitama.
Minister Nyesom Wike noted that the project was a direct response to consultations with the Gomo of Kuje and other local leaders. He credited the President for providing the necessary funding to turn these promises into reality. According to FCT Minister of State Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, the administration remains committed to strategic investments that boost mobility and economic growth. The project’s first phase is finished, with the remaining six-kilometre segment scheduled for completion by December.
