This decision, finalized during regional mobilization gatherings, stems from widespread frustration regarding national security, the current economic climate, and general governance.
Ambassador Aisha Ibrahim, the Women Leader for the Hashim Progressive Movement, emphasized their past success in securing a victory for President Tinubu in 2023, asserting that they are now fully committed to repeating that outcome for Dr. Hashim. High-profile figures like Mallam Goje Bashir have publicly renounced their previous ties to the APC, citing a failure by the current administration to manage the country effectively. Similarly, Hajia Rabi Fagge suggested that the Accord party is poised to gain significant traction among northern voters.
State-level coordinators in Jigawa and Katsina, specifically Abdulrasheed Ali and Muhammad Abdullahi, highlighted that their grassroots efforts are focused on promoting a leader who addresses the dire economic realities of the populace.
