Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, affirmed on Tuesday his unwavering commitment to executing his duties as instructed by President Bola Tinubu, regardless of the political climate. During the tenth day of a project commissioning series celebrating the president’s third year in office, Wike addressed public speculation regarding whether upcoming political activities would halt ongoing infrastructure development.
The minister emphasized that the administration remains dedicated to transforming Abuja’s infrastructure. He stated that these efforts will persist through the political season, ensuring that the capital’s appearance undergoes a complete transformation by May 2027, before the president’s anticipated second term commences.
Representing President Tinubu at the commencement ceremony for the Southern Parkway service carriageways, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda observed the event. Wike maintained that the directive from the president to improve the FCT remains the primary focus, aiming to deliver tangible results for the region.
