ADC Leader Odunze Predicts Atiku Will Secure 2027 Election Victory

ADC official Omega Odunze predicts a landslide victory for Atiku Abubakar in 2027, citing his economic track record and mobilized support in the South-East.

Omega Odunze, a prominent South-East figure within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), claims that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is poised to win the 2027 presidential race by a significant gap. Serving as a special aide to Atiku for community mobilization, Odunze stated in Enugu that the candidate holds a distinct advantage over President Bola Tinubu and other rivals due to his extensive experience and strong support base in Northern Nigeria.

Odunze highlighted Atiku’s tenure as Vice President and head of the National Economic Council under Olusegun Obasanjo as evidence of his leadership capability. He credited Atiku with boosting the national economy, deregulating the communications sector, and securing debt relief through international cooperation. To capitalize on this, the mobilization team is currently conducting voter education across South-East states to increase PVC registration and participation.

Reports from Anambra, Ebonyi, Abia, Imo, and Enugu indicate a positive response to these sensitization efforts. Residents are reportedly seeking a shift in governance to foster regional development and political inclusion. Additionally, the ADC has reached out to the Hausa community in the South-East to encourage active electoral participation. Adolphus Ude, secretary of the ADC in Enugu, added that local voters are increasingly favoring their party, viewing the current APC administration as unresponsive to citizens’ struggles.
