Tinubu Vows End to Neglect of Abuja Satellite Towns

President Tinubu marks his one-year anniversary by commissioning a major water project for Abuja’s satellite towns, declaring an end to their long-standing neglect.

President Bola Tinubu has stated that his administration prioritizes active listening, strategic planning, and the fulfillment of commitments made to the Nigerian public. During the inauguration of the Karu Satellite Town water supply network, held to commemorate his first year in office, the President emphasized that the period of ignoring communities outside the city center has concluded.

Reflecting on the Renewed Hope Agenda, the President asserted that governance must extend beyond metropolitan hubs to serve residents in the periphery who struggle for essential services. He highlighted the importance of clean water for health and economic stability, noting that the project aims to bypass typical bureaucratic hurdles. By prioritizing timely funding, the administration enabled contractor CGC Nigeria to complete 194 kilometers of pipeline, providing treated water to residents in Karu, Orozo, Jikwoyi, and Kuruduru.

President Tinubu praised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his performance, defining effective leadership as the ability to create tangible improvements in the lives of ordinary citizens rather than relying on rhetoric.
