FCT Minister Nyesom Wike stated on Monday that the ongoing infrastructure projects in Abuja rely heavily on the backing of President Bola Tinubu. During the launch of the water supply network for Karu Satellite Town, which coincided with the president’s one-year anniversary, Wike highlighted the administration’s commitment to urban development.
Vice President Kashim Shettima attended the ceremony as the president’s representative. Wike noted that the initiative to extend water services beyond the city center to areas like Karu and Bwari followed direct instructions from President Tinubu in the 2025 national budget. The minister emphasized that the project was completed in less than a year due to the prompt release of funds and strong executive support.
Wike praised the focus on fundamental needs, noting that the administration is prioritizing essential utilities alongside road construction. He expressed confidence that the local communities view these improvements as a tangible success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
