Armed attackers raided the Tsamiya community in Kebbi State, resulting in the kidnapping of Alhaji Yusuf Bazamfare and the destruction of property. SP Bashir Usman, the spokesperson for the Kebbi State Police Command, confirmed the incident occurred on the night of Saturday, June 20, 2026.
During the assault, gunmen fired weapons indiscriminately, frightening locals before setting fire to a local Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) outpost and the home of Sule Mai Goge. The group then fled with the kidnapped victim to an undisclosed location.
In response, the Kebbi State Police Commissioner has dispatched extra security units to the area to bolster safety. Authorities are currently working with other security branches to locate the victim and apprehend the attackers. The police command encouraged the public to stay composed and share any relevant information that could assist in tracking down the criminals.
