Social Democratic Party presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo recently expressed deep concern regarding the state of living in Nigeria, asserting that the difficult economic conditions are effectively conditioning people to engage in theft.
He shared these sentiments during an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show.
Adebayo noted that his 2023 presidential campaign warnings have largely come to pass.
He specifically pointed to the removal of the fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu in May 2023, which triggered a widespread rise in the cost of essential goods.
According to the SDP politician, the current administration has decimated the economy and eroded the public’s purchasing power while failing to provide necessary accountability.
The chieftain argued that the country currently lacks a true government as defined by the constitution, describing the current leadership as merely individuals in power.
Looking forward, he stated that the SDP plans to prioritize education, healthcare, and the restoration of economic stability for citizens, while actively seeking to engage voters who did not participate in the previous election.
