Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the August 15 poll in Osun, has encouraged inhabitants of Ifelodun, Boripe, and Odo-Otin to secure their Permanent Voter Cards. During a rally in Odo-Otin, Oyebamiji emphasized that these cards are essential for voters to influence the state’s future. He advised those who recently registered to coordinate with party officials to facilitate the collection process and cautioned against trading these cards, framing them as the primary instrument for democratic participation.
Before speaking at the rally, Oyebamiji met with local traditional leaders at the Olokuku Palace alongside his campaign director, Wole Oke. Outlining his policy agenda, the candidate pledged that his potential administration would emphasize healthcare, education, and agricultural development. He promised equitable distribution of resources across all regions of Osun, noting that a primary objective for rural areas is to bolster the economy through farming initiatives and better infrastructure.
Addressing concerns about safety during the election, Oyebamiji promised robust security and warned that anyone attempting to harass or intimidate voters would face legal repercussions. He urged the public to ignore rumors of expected violence, predicting that his election would usher in a period of progress. Following the event in Odo-Otin, the campaign team continued their tour through Ikirun, Iree, Ada, Aagba, and Iragbiji.
