Police Recruitment Drive Opens As Nigeria Moves To Strengthen Internal Security
The Police Service Commission, in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force, has thrown open the gates for fresh applicants seeking to join the ranks as Police Constables or Specialist personnel. This follows President Bola Tinubu’s directive to recruit 50,000 new officers, a push meant to fortify the nation’s internal security architecture and boost manpower amid rising crime and unrest.
The online portal will accept applications from December 15, 2025, to January 25, 2026, giving prospective recruits a clear window to prepare and submit their documents.

Check If You Meet the Requirements
Applicants must be Nigerian by birth, mentally and physically sound, financially upright, and free of any criminal history.
Age Range:
- General Duty: 18–25 years
- Specialists: up to 28 years
- Note: Female candidates must not be pregnant during training.
Physical Standards:
- General Duty (Male): 1.67m height, 86cm chest
- General Duty (Female): 1.64m height
Confirm Your Academic and Skill Qualifications
- General Duty: At least five credits including English and Mathematics.
- Specialists: Minimum of four credits, relevant experience of 3+ years, and trade test certifications.
Prepare Your Documents
Have clear soft copies of:
- FSLC
- SSCE/NECO
- Birth certificate
- Certificate of State/LGA of origin
For Specialists:
- Trade Test Certificates
- Driver’s Licence (for driving roles)
Submit Your Application Online
Visit npfapplication.psc.gov.ng and ensure you have:
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- Active email
- Phone number
- All required documents ready for upload
