Gunmen have killed four police officers in two separate attacks on patrol teams in Kogi State.

The first attack took place around 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 21, when about 20 armed men ambushed personnel of 70 PMF Kabba at a checkpoint along Ilafin-Odogbe Road, Yagba East LGA. ASP Umar Suleman and CPL Bitrus Isaac were shot dead, and the attackers made away with two AK-47 rifles and 28 rounds of ammunition.

The bodies were moved to the General Hospital Mortuary as security forces launched surveillance and bush combing operations to track the suspects.

Later, at about 11:30 a.m., another group of hoodlums attacked 37 PMF personnel at Abugi outpost in Lokoja, killing Insp. Johnson David and Insp. Ehinola Oluwole.

The attackers also took away a T06 rifle and an AK-47, each loaded with 30 rounds. A passerby, Isah Gilad, was also killed in the crossfire.

The victims’ remains were taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja, for autopsy. Police formations across the state have been placed on red alert, with personnel deployed at strategic locations to forestall more attacks. addison rae nude Lynie
