Severe Flooding Submerges Roads in Wales as 70mph Winds Batter UK
Heavy rain and strong winds have caused severe flooding across Wales, submerging major roads and disrupting travel.
In Swansea, the Cwmbwrla roundabout remains closed after becoming completely waterlogged, with images showing cars submerged and residents paddleboarding through the floodwaters.

Natural Resources Wales has issued three flood warnings and seven flood alerts, while South Wales Police reported flooding on Goetre Fawr Road in Killay, which has been shut down.
Elsewhere, part of the M5 near Bristol was affected by flooding between Junction 18 and the A4, National Highways said.
In England, the Environment Agency issued two flood alerts for the River Rea in Birmingham and the River Sow and River Penk in Staffordshire, warning of possible flooding.
A yellow weather warning for wind remains in effect across Wales and much of England until 6 p.m. on Monday, September 15. The Met Office warned of gusts reaching up to 70 mph, with risks of power cuts, transport disruption, and large waves hitting coastal areas.
Meteorologist Kathryn Chalk said winds would strengthen overnight into Monday, while conditions should ease by Tuesday, September 16. However, another system could bring fresh strong winds on Wednesday, September 17.
Officials have urged motorists to drive with caution, especially near coastal routes, and consider delaying non-essential travel.
