30-Year-Old Man Found Dead In Abuja Community

Residents of Kagini, a community off the Kubwa–Dei-Dei expressway in Abuja, were thrown into shock on Friday, September 5, 2025, when a 30-year-old shop owner, identified as IK Anago, was found dead in his home.

Anago, who lived alone in Zone 4, was discovered hanging in his sitting room after concerned neighbours raised alarm when he failed to open his shop and could not be reached by phone.

A police source confirmed to Daily Trust on Sunday that the matter was reported to the Kagini police outpost around 1 p.m., prompting officers to rush to the scene.

“The victim was found dangling from the roof of his sitting room. Items including his mobile phone, a small pestle, a knife, and a drum were recovered from the room,” the source disclosed.

FCT police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, also confirmed the incident, stating that officers from the Dei-Dei division evacuated the body to Kubwa General Hospital morgue after a medical doctor certified him dead.

She added that the FCT Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation, including an autopsy, to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
