British Woman Alleges She Was Sexually Assaulted Mid‑Air by Parasail Instructor During Holiday in Tunisia
A British woman from Merseyside has accused a parasail instructor in Tunisia of sexually assaulting her during a tandem parasailing flight in the resort town of Sousse.
She claims the instructor groped her and pressed his body against hers while they were strapped together in the air. “I felt violated and dirty and was scared,” she told The Sun, describing how the experience left her in tears and unable to enjoy the rest of her £6,000 easyJet package holiday with her children.
The woman said she had originally booked to parasail with a friend, but staff told them it was too windy to go up together.

While her friend’s flight went smoothly, she alleged her own experience was very different, saying the instructor pulled her harness tighter to bring her closer, touched her leg, and “moved back and forth” against her while speaking in Arabic.

“It was a horrible experience and I felt helpless hanging in the air,” she said, adding that she reported the incident immediately to the water sports centre’s manager and later to local police.
According to her, the instructor—believed to be around 20 years old—has since been arrested. She said her insurance company and the UK Foreign Office are assisting her.
EasyJet, which arranged the holiday, said the “safety and wellbeing of our customers is a priority” and confirmed it is supporting the woman while liaising with its hotel partner to investigate the allegations.
