Nigerian football legend Jay-Jay Okocha has weighed in on Victor Osimhen’s future following the striker’s impressive loan spell at Galatasaray.

In an interview with Turkish broadcaster TRT Spor, Okocha urged Osimhen to consider remaining in Turkey, praising both the country and its football culture. “Turkey is a great place to play and live football,” Okocha said. He acknowledged that sometimes personal sacrifices are necessary in football decisions, but stressed Osimhen’s happiness and success at Galatasaray as reasons to stay.

While Okocha didn’t reveal any insider info on Osimhen’s next move, he wished the striker the best wherever he ends up.

Reflecting on his own time at Fenerbahçe from 1996 to 1998, Okocha called it “a wonderful two years,” fondly recalling the fans and local culture, and signing off with a tribute to his former club: “The greatest is Fener.”

Osimhen capped a sensational season with Galatasaray by scoring 37 goals, securing the Turkish Cup, the Süper Lig title, and individual honors including Player of the Season and top scorer awards.
