1000 Career Goals: Talking About It Is Becoming Annoying – Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed frustration over the constant discussion about him reaching 1,000 career goals, calling it “annoying.”
The Portuguese legend emphasized that he is not obsessed with the milestone and prefers to focus on enjoying his game.
Having already netted 923 goals in 1,261 games, Ronaldo remains the only footballer in history to have scored over 900 official goals.
Ronaldo remains one of only four active players to have scored over 500 career goals, alongside Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, and Luis Suárez.
With 923 goals to his name, Ronaldo’s fans eagerly anticipate his 1,000th goal, as the 39-year-old continues to perform at an elite level with no signs of slowing down.
Ronaldo has acknowledged that while reaching 1,000 career goals would be an incredible milestone, the constant talk about it is becoming “a bit annoying.”
“If I could achieve it, it would be great… but I’m not obsessed with it. It’s getting a bit annoying to talk about,” Ronaldo said (via journalist Fabrizio Romano’s X handle).
Ronaldo has been in outstanding form for Al-Nassr this season, scoring 23 goals and providing 4 assists in just 25 games across all competitions.
Additionally, he holds the record for the most international goals in men’s football, further cementing his legacy as one of the greatest goal-scorers in history.
