In Osi-Igoba, Akure, Ondo State, Mrs. Stella Ayowale has taken legal action after her husband allegedly sold their jointly owned family home and car without her consent and then relocated abroad. He had claimed to be traveling to Abuja for a business trip.
Married for three years without children, Mrs. Ayowale said she was unaware of the sale until representatives of the new owner visited their home on May 26, 2025, presenting a receipt for the transaction and demanding that she vacate the property.
According to her, her husband Michael told her he was heading to Abuja for a business contract, leaving her with only N20,000 to manage household expenses for the week. She discovered the truth when the new owner served her an eviction notice.
Mrs. Ayowale also mentioned that her husband’s family has distanced themselves from her since the sale, suggesting she may have been deliberately excluded from the decision-making process.
Hope Newspaper, a publication owned by the Ondo State government, reported that a neighbor has provided Mrs. Ayowale with temporary shelter while she seeks support from her family and legal representation.
The incident highlights the challenges spouses face in protecting jointly owned assets and underscores the need for legal protections in property transactions. carol-i-of-romania doja cat nudes
