Wike: President Tinubu Is Delivering on Promises to Develop FCT Satellite Towns

Minister Nyesom Wike asserts that President Tinubu’s administration is successfully connecting FCT satellite towns through new infrastructure projects, fulfilling long-standing promises to local councils.

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, stated on Monday that President Bola Tinubu is successfully honoring his commitment to revitalize satellite towns and area councils. This progress is being driven by a strategic focus on expanding interconnectivity across the region.

The announcement coincided with the commencement of a new road project connecting Tunga Madaki to the Zuba area, an initiative launched to commemorate President Tinubu’s third year in office. Wike credited the support of the President and the National Assembly for the project’s viability, noting that the administration remains dedicated to bridging the gap between outlying communities and the main city.

During the event, Wike praised the local leadership for their role in securing the project. He highlighted how the new road provides residents with vital access to the airport, a long-standing issue for the local community. The Minister emphasized that these infrastructure efforts serve as a direct response to those questioning the administration’s impact in the FCT. He expects the new route to be fully operational and commissioned by December.
