Zambia forward Barbra Banda and Malawi attacker Temwa Chawinga share the lead as the highest scorers at the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) as the tournament nears its conclusion. With the semi-final matches finalized on Wednesday, both players have recorded five goals each.
The upcoming final match on Sunday was determined after Cameroon secured a victory over the host nation, Morocco. Meanwhile, Malawi earned their place in the championship decider by defeating Algeria in their respective semi-final clash.

Barbra Banda (Zambia) and Temwa Chawinga (Malawi) lead with five goals. Following them are Inès Konan (Ivory Coast) and Tabitha Chawinga, each with four goals. Thembi Kgatlana (South Africa) and Marie Ngah (Cameroon) have netted three goals. Finally, a group of players including Asisat Oshoala (Nigeria), Marine Dafeur (Algeria), Sakina Ouzraoui (Morocco), Uchenna Kanu (Nigeria), and Rasheedat Ajibade (Nigeria) have each scored two goals.
