Vice President Shettima Travels to Freetown for ECOWAS Summit

Vice President Kashim Shettima has traveled to Freetown to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 69th ECOWAS summit focused on regional peace and economic integration.

Vice President Kashim Shettima left Abuja this Sunday to head to the 69th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government. He is attending the event on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.

The gathering is being held at the Julius Maada Bio International Conference Centre in Freetown. Alongside other political and business figures from West Africa and other regions, Shettima will participate in discussions about regional policy and strategic goals.

The summit aims to strengthen regional cooperation, with a focus on peace, democratic stability, and economic development. Attendees, including heads of state, government ministers, and representatives from various regional institutions, will address trade, security, and sustainable growth initiatives. Once his duties in Sierra Leone are finished, the Vice President is expected to return to Abuja.
