Usman Mohammed, a midfielder for the Super Eagles, has officially signed with the Israeli team Maccabi Bnei Reineh. The 32-year-old athlete joined the squad managed by Lior Reuven on a free transfer, agreeing to a two-year contract.
This move follows the end of Mohammed’s tenure at his previous club, Ironi Tiberias. He is returning to Maccabi Bnei Reineh after previously playing for them between 2023 and 2025. During that earlier period, he recorded three goals across 63 league matches.
Before his career in Israel, the former Taraba United player earned international recognition as part of the U-23 Eagles team that secured a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Additionally, he represented the Super Eagles during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.
