US Embassy in Bahrain Warns of Targeted Attacks on Citizens

The United States Embassy in Bahrain has issued an urgent security alert, warning American citizens of potential terrorist plots targeting them within the Gulf nation.

Specifically, officials have advised the public to avoid hotels in the capital city of Manama, identifying these locations as high-risk targets for imminent strikes.

The advisory, released amid ongoing drone and missile activity from Iran, emphasizes that terrorist organizations may launch assaults with little to no prior warning.

This escalation follows a weekend of violence in the region, including a confirmed strike on the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manama on March 1, which resulted in several injuries.

In response to the heightened threat, the State Department has authorized the departure of non-emergency government personnel and their families from the country.

Regional stability has deteriorated sharply following the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a joint U.S.-Israeli military operation on February 28.

While President Donald Trump has issued an ultimatum demanding the surrender of Iranian forces, Tehran has vowed defiance, leading to a surge in cross-border hostilities involving drones, missiles, and maritime attacks across the Persian Gulf.
