US conducts fourth wave of air strikes against Iran

US Central Command confirmed a fourth wave of air strikes against Iranian military targets near the Strait of Hormuz to protect commercial shipping.

The United States military has executed its fourth consecutive round of air strikes targeting Iranian military assets. This development was confirmed via an official statement issued by US Central Command late Tuesday.

Operations focused on dozens of locations situated near the Strait of Hormuz as well as Iranian coastal regions. The military campaign spanned seven hours with the stated objective of reducing Iran’s capacity to jeopardize civilian crews and commercial shipping routes.

These strikes coincided with the reinstatement of a US naval blockade affecting vessels entering or departing from Iranian ports. In its communication, CENTCOM noted the strikes occurred at 10 p.m. ET on July 14 and emphasized that American forces continue to maintain a state of high readiness for future directives from the Commander in Chief.
