Taiwo Salami, the chairman of Shooting Stars, believes the club has successfully strengthened its roster for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign. While he is pleased with the current acquisitions, he indicated that additional signings are expected before the season begins.
Speaking on an Ibadan radio show, Salami noted that he is roughly 90 percent satisfied with the current recruitment efforts. He emphasized that the club remains focused on adding two or three more players to improve the team further. He asserted that the current squad is notably stronger than the previous year because management has been very deliberate with their choices during this transfer window.
Shooting Stars is set to open the new season in Ibadan against Inter Lagos, a team that recently earned promotion to the league. Beyond domestic competition, the Oluyole Warriors are also scheduled to participate in the CAF Confederation Cup.
