Engr. Greg Ogbeifun established SICL in 1986. Starting as a modest marine services provider, the company has evolved into a prominent logistics firm with a fleet of 11 offshore support vessels. Since 2010, the company has completed over 35 offshore contracts, supported by a workforce of more than 200 staff members. SICL now operates as a diversified group with subsidiaries covering security, automotive care, and gas distribution.
A core pillar of the company is its dedication to training Nigerian seafarers. Its cadetship program has successfully mentored over 100 individuals, offering them professional sea experience. Managing Director Ms. Iroghama Ogbeifun emphasized that the company’s true impact lies in the transformation of people’s lives through these training and employment opportunities.
Looking ahead, SICL remains focused on advancing local content, modernizing infrastructure, and fostering the next generation of maritime leadership to ensure Nigeria remains a globally competitive force in the industry.
