The discovery occurred within the marshy territories of Ebocha Egi LII, located in the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area.

As reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the operation took place on May 13 during a standard surveillance sweep.

Military officials confirmed that they seized approximately 7,800 litres of illicitly refined petroleum, which had been hidden inside 130 separate sacks along the riverbanks.

The confiscated materials have been processed according to the standing protocols of Operation Delta Safe. Meanwhile, security forces are continuing their efforts to identify and apprehend the criminal networks responsible for oil theft and unauthorized refining operations in the area.
