Sola Ajimati Urges Kwara APC Leadership to Address Stakeholder Exclusion

Kwara South senatorial aspirant Sola Ajimati has written to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, calling for urgent reconciliation and inclusive decision-making to resolve internal APC disputes in Kwara State.

Sola Ajimati, an All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the Kwara South senatorial seat, has voiced strong disapproval regarding the reported marginalization of key party figures in Kwara State. In a formal letter sent to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Monday in Abuja, Ajimati emphasized the urgent need to rectify these internal tensions.

While acknowledging the governor’s contributions to the state, Ajimati stressed that long-term success depends on broader participation and meaningful consultation. He pointed to recent political outcomes in Ekiti, Osun, and Lagos as case studies. According to Ajimati, the unity observed in Ekiti under Governor Biodun Oyebanji contrasts sharply with the challenges faced by former Osun Governor Isiaka Oyetola and former Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, who both suffered from unresolved internal party grievances.

Ajimati has formally requested that the governor organize a meeting for all stakeholders and establish a neutral committee to mediate disputes. He argued that fostering unity is essential, especially given rising security challenges that require a cohesive response. Additionally, he urged the national leadership of the APC to review complaints surrounding the Kwara South Senatorial Primary held on May 18, 2026, citing potential irregularities.
