Simon Guobadia Moves To Revoke Porsha Williams’ Nigerian Residency Permit After Divorce
Businessman Simon Guobadia has asked a Nigerian court to formally withdraw his sponsorship of former wife and reality star Porsha Williams’ residency permit.
According to an affidavit filed at the High Court of Justice in Kaduna State, Guobadia explained that he had sponsored Porsha’s application for a Nigerian Resident Permit during their marriage. However, following their divorce, he is seeking to have the sponsorship terminated and the permit revoked.
In a statement to TMZ, Guobadia revealed that Nigerian authorities informed him Porsha traveled to Lagos in December 2024 using the same residency document issued while they were still married. He said that as her former spouse, he has both a legal and personal obligation to bring the arrangement to an end.
He further expressed disappointment that Williams returned to Nigeria last festive season and made it clear she would not be welcomed back this year.
Porsha, however, appears unbothered by the development. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star told TMZ that she is already receiving offers for a Nigerian passport and alternative sponsorships that could allow her to continue visiting the country.

The dispute marks the latest chapter in the high-profile fallout of the couple’s short-lived marriage, which ended earlier this year.
