The cleric contends that when a society strictly bans extramarital affairs, fornication, and sex work, authorities have an obligation to help individuals who struggle to afford marriage. He argues that this intervention promotes moral order and fulfills the needs of those seeking stable relationships but lacking the necessary resources.
Gumi specifically highlighted that public funds should be directed toward assisting young people and women who find it difficult to secure spouses within their communities. By facilitating these unions, he believes the government is acting within its mandate to provide for citizens under a legal framework rooted in religious principles.
