Salihu Lukman Outlines Opposition Strategy to Challenge Tinubu in 2027

Former APC chieftain Salihu Lukman is urging opposition parties to form a united front via the G100 coalition to better compete against President Tinubu in 2027.

Former All Progressives Congress leader Salihu Lukman is advocating for a unified opposition alliance under the G100 banner. During a recent appearance on Arise Television, he argued that to successfully challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election, opposition forces must set aside individual ambitions and consolidate behind a single candidate.

Lukman warned that pursuing a fragmented political path would mirror the outcome of the 2023 elections, which ultimately left the opposition defeated. He emphasized that the G100 is focused on fostering cooperation among various presidential hopefuls to build a credible alternative that can win the public’s trust.

The initiative seeks to establish a clear policy framework for governance, encouraging candidates to prioritize the nation’s needs over personal aspirations. While acknowledging the difficulty of unifying diverse political interests, Lukman urged all supporters and candidates to focus on the broader goal of national progress rather than immediate individual gains.
