Rapper Kanye West Sued by Jewish Employee for Harassment
Kanye West is facing a new lawsuit from a former employee who alleges that the rapper harassed her and frequently expressed admiration for Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
The Jewish woman, identified in the suit under the pseudonym Jane Doe, claims she was fired in June 2024 after raising concerns about Ye’s antisemitic remarks. She had worked as a marketing specialist for the Yeezy brand for six tumultuous months.
Court documents obtained by TMZ show West once texted the woman and others “Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler,” as well as similar messages like “I Am A NAZI” when she suggested he issue a statement condemning antisemitism.
Additional text messages included in the lawsuit allegedly show West verbally abusing the woman and sending her unsolicited pornography.
The suit claims she was terminated just one day after reporting West’s behavior to her manager.
“Unable to control his prejudice, (West) rewarded Plaintiff with the same antisemitic vitriol he recently condemned to the public,” the lawsuit claims. “(West) carried out a calculated campaign to threaten and psychologically torment Jewish people around him, specifically Plaintiff.”
The lawsuit seeks damages for discrimination, harassment, creating a hostile work environment, retaliation, and violating an oral agreement regarding wage payments.
