President Trump Urges Everyone To Evacuate Iranian Capital Amid War With Israel
U.S. President Donald Trump caused alarm in Iran on Monday night by calling for the evacuation of the entire city of Tehran, as tensions between Israel and the Islamic Republic threatened to escalate further.
“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social media platform.

Shortly after his evacuation call, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that President Donald Trump would be leaving the G7 leaders summit in Canada ahead of schedule to return to Washington for consultations with his advisers on the escalating Israel-Iran conflict, now in its fifth day.
Trump’s warning came after Israeli officials had earlier urged residents in Tehran to evacuate, as their military campaign against Iran continued with a series of missile exchanges.
The designated evacuation zone in Tehran covers approximately 330,000 residents and includes critical infrastructure such as Iran’s state television headquarters, the national police headquarters, and three major hospitals—one of which is owned by the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard.
Iranian officials rejected Israel’s evacuation call, labeling it as “psychological warfare.”
Meanwhile, the G7 leaders issued a joint statement late Monday expressing concern over the rising hostilities. Despite earlier suggestions that he would not, President Trump signed the statement.
It reads in part that they “affirm that Israel has a right to defend itself. We reiterate our support for the security of Israel. We also affirm the importance of the protection of civilians. Iran is the principal source of regional instability and terror. We have been consistently clear that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. We urge that the resolution of the Iranian crisis leads to a broader de-escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, including a ceasefire in Gaza.”
In addition, the statement said, “We will remain vigilant to the implications for international energy markets and stand ready to coordinate, including with like-minded partners, to safeguard market stability.”
