President Bola Tinubu has sent birthday wishes to Babatunde Fashola, the former Governor of Lagos State and one-time Minister of Works, Power and Housing, as he marks his 63rd birthday. In a statement released by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Fashola as a dedicated legal professional and a commendable administrator.

The President highlighted the lasting impact of Fashola’s governance, especially during his tenure in Lagos. Reflecting on their professional history, Tinubu noted that Fashola served as his Chief of Staff from 2003 to 2006 before taking office as Governor from 2007 to 2015. During his gubernatorial term, Fashola was credited with implementing significant reforms across vital sectors such as infrastructure, security, and healthcare.

Furthermore, the President recognized Fashola’s contributions to the Federal Executive Council, where he managed the Works, Power and Housing portfolios from 2015 to 2023. Expressing his well-wishes, Tinubu prayed for Fashola’s continued health and wisdom as he persists in his efforts to foster national unity and progress.
