Portable Details Reasons for Early Exit in Charles Okocha Rematch

Singer Portable explains his decision to walk out of his celebrity boxing rematch with Charles Okocha, citing unfair physical conduct and biting by his opponent.

Street-pop artist Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has clarified his decision to leave the ring prematurely during his boxing rematch against actor Charles Okocha. He asserts that he was subjected to unfair tactics during the match. Shortly after his disqualification, Portable posted an Instagram video claiming that Okocha stopped boxing and resorted to wrestling, even biting him.

Showing injuries on his back, the singer insisted he was winning the fight until the situation turned chaotic. He claimed he landed a significant blow on his opponent and was superior throughout the exchange. Portable explained that he abandoned the fight because he refused to endanger his professional career for the sake of a celebrity match, stating his value as a star far exceeds the prize money.

The event, titled Unfinished Business, occurred at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos. The match turned into a physical scuffle that required security intervention. Portable departed the ring before the first round concluded and was subsequently disqualified after returning, resulting in a win for Okocha. This loss follows a previous defeat against Carter Efe in May.
