Pope Francis no longer needs a ventilator, Vatican says.

Pope Francis’ health is improving, and he no longer needs a mechanical ventilation mask to breathe, the Vatican announced. The 88-year-old pontiff is also reducing his use of high-flow supplemental oxygen, with his pneumonia now under control.

Pope Francis concelebrated Mass on his 12th anniversary as pope as his pneumonia improves. He no longer needs a ventilation mask and continues therapy to strengthen his lungs.
