Osun APC Chieftain Olatunbosun Oyintiloye Dismisses Links to Election Violence

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye of the Osun APC asserts that his party does not employ violence for electoral gains and denies any connection to recent political unrest in the state.

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, has stated that the party has no requirement for violence to succeed in the upcoming August 15 governorship election. He emphasized that aggressive tactics do not lead to electoral success. Speaking in Osogbo, Oyintiloye dismissed reports connecting the party and its candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, to recent political disturbances as the work of desperate individuals.

The former lawmaker clarified that neither the APC nor its candidate is associated with those using the party’s platform to incite unrest. He noted that the organization is built on the Omoluabi ethos, which focuses on integrity, accountability, and selfless service. Oyintiloye strongly condemned the loss of life linked to political agendas, describing such actions as morally reprehensible.

According to Oyintiloye, the party remains dedicated to peaceful coexistence and democratic principles. He stressed that anyone acting criminally under the guise of the APC is doing so for personal gain, which contradicts the party’s culture of civility. He urged the public and security agencies to remain vigilant and committed to justice while encouraging party members to maintain peace as they seek to prioritize the security and prosperity of Osun State.
