FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has officially sanctioned the promotion of 3,592 civil servants after the completion of the 2025 assessment process by the FCT Civil Service Commission. Emeka Ezeh, the commission’s chairman, confirmed the successful conclusion of these examinations.
The evaluation period for senior personnel spanned from July 1 to July 3, while junior employees completed their assessments on July 10. To prevent future backlogs, Wike has instructed the commission to launch the 2026 promotion cycle promptly.
Ezeh noted that timely promotions remain a core objective of the current administration. He emphasized that these advancements serve to mirror the significant infrastructural growth occurring across the territory, ensuring staff members are recognized alongside the progress observed during the President’s third-year tenure. The commission also praised the orderly conduct of the staff during the latest round of evaluations and encouraged continued professionalism for the upcoming cycle.
