Nutrients Innovation Tech Ltd Hosts Gates Foundation Executives on Strategic Industry Visit
Nutrients Innovation Tech Ltd, a leading force in Nigeria’s large-scale food fortification landscape, proudly hosted three senior executives from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in a high-level working visit facilitated by TechnoServe Nigeria.
The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s food fortification programme and assess measurable progress across the country’s mandatory fortification vehicles. Discussions focused on the compliance levels, premix quality, and supply chain dynamics surrounding the fortification of wheat flour, sugar, and vegetable oil—the nation’s three primary vehicles for mandatory fortification.
Speaking during the engagement, Dr. Rachael Adeyemi, Managing Director of Nutrients Innovation Tech Ltd, noted the organisation’s unwavering commitment to driving improved nutrition outcomes through innovation, quality assurance, and industry-wide accountability.
“At Nutrients Innovation Tech Ltd, our mission is simple: to support a healthier Nigeria by ensuring that the food fortification ecosystem is efficient, compliant, and forward-moving. We are honoured to welcome the Gates Foundation team and proud of the impact our work continues to make,” Dr. Adeyemi said.
During the visit, the Gates Foundation delegation conducted an extensive assessment of Nutrients Innovation Tech’s flour premix supply chain, examining existing challenges, systemic gaps, and emerging opportunities for strengthened partnerships and potential support.
They also embarked on an official factory tour led by Dr. Adeyemi, where they expressed deep satisfaction and admiration for the company’s advanced processes, quality standards, and leadership in premix handling and fortification compliance.
The team commended Nutrients Innovation Tech Ltd for its role as a key industry player, contributing significantly to Nigeria’s Large-Scale Food Fortification (LSFF) goals through high-quality premix solutions, technical expertise, and a clear commitment to sustainable nutritional impact.
This engagement reaffirms Nutrients Innovation Tech Ltd’s position at the forefront of Nigeria’s fortification sector—championing innovation, strengthening compliance, and advancing national and global nutrition priorities through strategic collaboration.
