The Adamawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a 28-year-old man, Bless Johnson, for allegedly defrauding nine people of more than N9 million.

Johnson is accused of impersonation and obtaining money under false pretenses. According to the command’s spokesperson, Nyako Baba, the case was reported to the NSCDC Divisional Office in Mubi before operatives tracked him down.

Baba said the suspect was arrested on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Timbokum Village, Ganye Local Government Area, following credible intelligence. Investigations revealed that Johnson collected millions from victims by falsely offering political appointments, job opportunities, and travel assistance.

The spokesperson noted that the suspect had refunded N1,120,000 to some of his victims. He further explained that Johnson used the contacts of influential individuals to deceive his targets with fake promises.
