Filling stations across Nigeria have lowered their prices for premium motor spirit after a report from DAILY POST. A Tuesday survey indicated that NNPCL stations located in Gwarimpa, the Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse zones 4 and 6 have decreased their rates to N1,250 per litre, marking a drop from the previous N1,299.
This represents a reduction of N49 per litre by the state-owned enterprise. The adjustment occurred shortly after DAILY POST highlighted that motorists were avoiding the company’s stations because of elevated pricing. Prior to this, other retailers like MRS, which is supported by the Dangote Refinery, had already cut their costs by amounts ranging from N25 to N50 per litre. Consumers in the Abuja region are currently paying between N1,210 and N1,300 per litre for fuel.
