Nine-Month-Old Baby Killed In Dog Attack As Police Launch Investigation In Rogiet
Tragedy struck in the quiet village of Rogiet, Wales, after a nine-month-old baby was pronounced dead at the scene of a suspected dog attack, according to a report by Wales Online.
Armed police officers rushed to the home on Tuesday night, but despite their swift response, the infant could not be saved. Authorities have not yet released further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The dog involved whose breed has not been disclosed was seized and removed from the property as part of ongoing investigations.
In a statement, Gwent Police confirmed that enquiries are still underway, though it remains unclear whether any arrests have been made in connection with the tragedy.

The heartbreaking news has triggered an outpouring of grief from members of the community and across social media.

Another added, “Absolutely heartbreaking. Thoughts are with the family.”
Authorities continue to appeal for witnesses as the small Welsh community reels from the devastating loss.
