Prophetess Ezinne Maryjane Nwanorue, a Nigerian cleric currently residing in Canada, has issued a video apology to her husband, Franklin Chimaobim Nwanorue. This follow-up comes after significant public outrage sparked by her Facebook post, where she celebrated the death of her mother-in-law, Comfort Chika Nwanorue.
Addressing her husband in the video, Ezinne stated her regrets for the social media attack. She expressed hope for his forgiveness, acknowledging that her actions regarding his late mother were inappropriate. Her initial post had featured the funeral banner of the late matriarch, whom she disparagingly called a “wicked witch” and wished eternal torment.
In that original message, Ezinne claimed divine authority, asserting that she was a spiritual weapon against perceived enemies and threatening others with death. This inflammatory post drew immediate and widespread condemnation from social media users.
This is not the couple’s first time in the public eye. They previously went viral when Ezinne required her husband to swear a video-recorded oath of fidelity before he relocated to Canada. She had later accused him on social media of violating that promise.
