Niger State sets top-three goal for Niger Tornadoes’ new leadership

The Niger State government has tasked the new management of Niger Tornadoes with achieving a top-three finish in the upcoming 2026-27 NPFL campaign.

The Niger State government has mandated that the newly appointed management team of Niger Tornadoes secure a top-three finish in the 2026-27 Nigeria Premier Football League season. Dr. Nuhu Garba Ngaski, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports Development, delivered this objective during the official inauguration of the committee.

Dr. Ngaski noted his belief in the leadership abilities of the new chairman to meet these expectations. He encouraged all committee members to collaborate effectively to realize the club’s goals. According to the Permanent Secretary, the state government remains committed to providing ongoing financial and administrative support to the squad.

Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso has been named the new Chairman of the club. He replaces Engr. Ibrahim Dada, who stepped down from the position to pursue interests in politics.
