Mourinho Nears Return to Real Madrid Managerial Post

Jose Mourinho is currently finalizing discussions to return as Real Madrid’s head coach, over a decade since his previous tenure at the club.

The 63-year-old is the primary target and the sole person currently engaged in recruitment talks with the Spanish giants.

If appointed, he will succeed Alvaro Arbeloa, who has been in the role since January following the exit of Xabi Alonso.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez began exploring the prospect of a Mourinho comeback shortly after Alonso’s departure.

Mourinho has served as manager of Benfica since last September under a two-year deal. Regarding his future, he recently noted that he would address speculation following his team’s final match of the season against Estoril Praia.

During his previous stint at the Bernabeu from 2010 to 2013, Mourinho secured a La Liga title, a Copa del Rey trophy, and the Spanish Super Cup.
