Manchester United Target Victor Osimhen Seeks Less Than £200,000 Per Week In Wages — Fabrizio Romano

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has stated that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is open to accepting a weekly wage below £200,000 at Manchester United, dismissing claims that he is seeking £300,000 per week.

Speaking to Givemesport, Romano clarified that the reported £300,000 demand is “wide of the mark” and that the Napoli forward is willing to settle for a more modest salary, amid concerns from United’s ownership over his alleged wage expectations.

“He just wants his current salary (around €12m net, £10.2m per season) to be respected, nothing different. Same as one year ago,” Romano explained.

The reduced wage demand could open the door for Manchester United to pursue the 26-year-old striker, particularly given that Mason Mount currently earns £250,000 per week at the club.

Osimhen is widely expected to depart Napoli after a standout loan spell at Galatasaray, where he netted 37 goals and registered eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

He recently turned down a lucrative £30 million-per-year offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, signaling his desire to remain in European football.

United legend Rio Ferdinand has speculated that Osimhen’s decision to reject the Saudi deal may suggest he is holding out for a move to Old Trafford.

“It looks like he’s turned down Al-Hilal… he must be waiting for Manchester United. I don’t know if Manchester United are going to come. That’s the problem,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.
