A Nigerian woman living in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state is calling for help after being banned from using the local ferry service.
The trouble began when she posted a video online showing the moment the ferry she was aboard on Tuesday, April 22, came to a halt in the middle of the sea due to a fuel shortage.
The video she shared depicted her and other passengers stranded on the boat, floating in the water after it stopped moving.
‘’You guys know you do not have fuel but you want to be putting the lives of people at risk. You guys misbehave so much. The driver is also rude. If I had known I wouldn’t have entered his ferry”
In the video, other passengers can be heard reaching out to the ferry complaint line to report the issue.
The following day, Wednesday, the woman who recorded the video tried to board the ferry again, only to be told she was no longer allowed to use the service due to her post calling out the ferry company.
‘’Why can I not talk. So because of the video I made yesterday, I got to the Ferry today and they said I should go back to my house as I will not be able to use their ferry because of the video I made.
I thought they were eve playing but they stood their ground. The video I made was for them to make amendments.
I have like four to five videos that show us in the middle of the seas whenever the driver complains he has ran out of fuel. We are our own problem in Nigeria”
