Kebbi Police initiate search for kidnapped High Court judge

Kebbi police are actively searching for High Court judge Faruku Hassan Bunza after he was abducted from his home in Bunza Local Government Area.

The Kebbi State Police Command has begun an intensive search for the individuals who abducted Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza. The High Court judge was seized by armed suspects at his home on Zogirma Road in Bunza Local Government Area, shortly after he returned from a journey to Sokoto State.

SP Bashir Usman, the spokesperson for the state police, verified the event and noted that Commissioner of Police Umar Muhammad Hadejia has ordered tactical and intelligence units to secure the judge’s release. These teams are currently sweeping through nearby forests and potential hideouts.

Authorities are collaborating with other security services to ensure Justice Bunza is returned safely and that the culprits face legal consequences. The police have requested that local residents stay composed and offer any helpful details they may possess. Currently, no organization has admitted to the kidnapping, and the investigation remains active.
