Kaduna Police Capture Six Suspected Abductors

Kaduna police have arrested six kidnapping suspects and dismantled their hideout in Ikara following an escapee’s report and community intelligence.

Law enforcement officials in Kaduna State have apprehended six individuals accused of kidnapping and successfully raided a hideout situated in the Ikara Local Government Area. DSP Mansir Hassan, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed that the operation was launched following critical tips from a victim who managed to flee his captors.

The victim informed authorities on Tuesday that he had been detained at a residence owned by 65-year-old Ja’e Samalu in Dogon Pako Village. Acting on this report, Ikara police officers teamed up with local vigilantes to execute a raid, resulting in the detention of six suspects, whose ages range from 20 to 65.

These suspects are currently being questioned as investigators work to determine their specific involvement in the criminal activities. Authorities are actively pursuing remaining members of the network. CP Muhammad Rabiu, the Commissioner of Police for Kaduna State, praised the officers and local citizens for their effective collaboration. He encouraged the public to stay alert and report any suspicious behavior, while also cautioning residents to be mindful of criminals attempting to repurpose private homes for illegal detention.
